What is Cortex?
Cortex is the student association of psychology students at the University of Tampere. Our mission is to organize both educational and social activities for our members. We also follow and inform our members on issues related to educational politics and student life in general.
We all have in common that we study psychology and we are awesome so of course we also like to spend our spare time with each other. Cortex organizes various events for various interests that are open for all members. You can for instance participate in interesting lectures, learn a new sport or party all night with us!
Upon your arrival in Tampere you will get a personal student tutor from Cortex who will help you get started with your life in Finland.

Harassment form for the members of Cortex
If you experience that you have been bullied, harassed, treated unequally or faced discrimination based on your gender, age, ethnic or national background, language, religion or other conviction, your disability or state of your health, your sexual orientation or based on some other characteristic of yours, you can report the incident(s) with this form.
The form will be received confidentially by the Inclusivity/Equality Representative of Cortex. If you wish, you can also contact the Inclusivity/Equality Representative via e-mail (see ”yhdenvertaisuusvastaava” from this tab). If the person who has filled in the form so wishes, the International Organizer and/or Head International Tutor will assist the Inclusivity/Equality Representative in solving the matter.
With this form, you have the option of leaving your comment anonymously, which will hopefully lower the threshold to report about incidents with regarding harassment. Should you prefer so, you may also contact the Harassment Representatives of the Student Union of Tampere University (hairinta@trey.fi) instead of contacting the Inclusivity/Equality Representative of Cortex.
